If I want a puppy, what do I do?

1. Inquire. Send us an email to ask about availability (see 'Contact Us' at bottom of page). Most of our puppies have contracts on them prior to birth and at times even prior to conception.
2. Contract. Look over the contract we send and see if this fits your desire. If so, holler back at us, so we can chat. We have so many inquiries, it is helpful for our potential owners to look over the contract prior to having a conversation (we don't like how impersonal that sounds, but it is a factor we are having to deal with).
3. Conversation. We want to get to know you. Our puppies deserve quality homes with families who are willing to make a commitment in raising their puppy properly. We reserve the right to say 'no.'
4. Deposit. If invited, return contract with deposit. This will hold your spot in selection. We operate with a 'first pay, first selection' ethos, which is based on preference of male, female, or either.
5. Visit. We host individual and group puppy visits, so our forever families can see the puppies and get a feel for which puppy might be a good fit for their family. During COVID this was minimal, but normally there is plenty of time to visit and get to know the puppies (and vice-a-versa).
6. Select. After puppies are six (6) weeks old (when they start exhibiting distinct personalities), we invite families to come individually to make their selections. Most families name their puppy at this time.
7. Pick-up. At eight (8) weeks it’s time to pick-up your puppy. Final payment is due. Each forever family receives a folder with all the necessary paperwork (contract, AKC registration info, tips, etc.). And, of course, they get to take home their beautiful golden puppy.
